In the midst of all the darkness today, a ray of light: Shiina Ringo's digital single Saihate ga Mitai was not only released in Japan last month...it was also quietly released in the US! You can download it legally from Amazon, Google Play, or iTunes:

Pretty sure it was mentioned, just got lost in the jumble on the other thread.

I'd be more interested if it was a physical release though.

You know, I looked around forever before I posted it and I just couldn't find anything specific, save that it was being released internationally (which a lot of her music has been, just not here). I would have thought it would have been a bigger deal just because nothing of hers has ever been available in the US before...

Her artist page has been closed in US iTunes Store since the release of Mitai... Originally, there were two MVs available to buy in US iTunes store, which were Honnou and Stem.

Hmmm. When I log into iTunes on my phone, it looks like they are still available. Also the ringtone version of NIPPON.
