New TJ mini-album Jan 18.「color bars」
 

As announced by Ringohan, it will feature 5 new songs and... well, I'm shocked as hell. Considering what color bars mean in the TV world...

I think she might meant when your tv is tuned to those frequencies which nothing is being broadcasted. Those "colour bars"...

Well okay then. We obviously know what one of the five is going to be.

Could these just be more cuts that didn't make Sports and/or Daihakken? At least that way, it makes a solo album next year seem more likely.

Handsome Sugite and 32-sai no Wakare will probably be on the album. No clue about the other 3.

Really hope this is true, dying for a new solo album! Carnation was such a nice single, I honestly need moar.

Wow, this is terrible.

I don't see EPs in a good light, ESPECIALLY if they're called "mini albums".

I think EPs in a modern context are when an artist has a thought but it is not developed enough to be a full album. It's like a 2 minute song, very incomplete and amateurish.

Color bars usually mean "We're not ready to present you with any real content yet".
Just a thought.

EPs and 2 minute songs are very valid art forms. Heisei Fuuzoku would have made a killer EP; same goes for Sports.

To quote Black Francis of the Pixies on 2 minute songs, "If it's good enough for Buddy Holly..."
