Wasn't aware of Shiina's involvement with this album! I'm gonna have to check it out! PUFFY are a bit of a hit or miss with me. Some of their stuff (mostly older) is just gloriously enjoyable quality pop, while other is just extremely bland.

I'd certainly agree with you about that. I love a lot of their older material, but thought the songwriting quality dropped after the Okuda Tamio/Andy Sturmer era. I've only listened to the new album a few times so far, but think it is their strongest in years.

I absolutely love this album. I've listened to it so many times this past week. Really, really strong tracks on there.
