Wakusei Abnormal Live

Nice, looks like they've got some pretty nifty live chops too. For sure get the Ringo/Jihen vibe (that they are so clearly striving towards) here.

Though, as it has been said before, if they keep doing this, they're just gonna make you wanna switch over to the real thing. (Like Aya for example).

Listening to their second EP, it's not too bad.

Highlights for me are track 6 アレルギー & 7 ユキコ.

Hey there, guess I'm bumping this.

I recently got back from a Wakusei Abnormal live. I'll just say that I really enjoyed the show, because if I speak at length I'll sound like deadgrandma talking about Oomori Seiko, if that gives any hint as to my bias! :P

They were really cool about hanging out and talking with people after their set, so I'll throw a pic here if you can stand my drunken mug.

They also just announced on their site, twitter, line, etc., that their third mini-album will be released on 7/22. It'll be titled 『人生はロマンティック』--so "Life is Romantic". That also happens to be the name of an event they are doing next month, so if I go I might be able to hear something new. Anyway, between 5/28--6/18 you can hear free samples of it on http://www.nylon.jp/

Well the new single is OK. Sounds pretty much like bubble gum jpop style stuff. Might grow. Repeats itself way too much too.
