They're providing the theme song for a TV drama about po-lice. I think they requested a song from Shiina Ringo.

what is strange is that Ringo wrote the song for the show, so it is kind of bizarre that it is getting released as a Tokyo Jihen song unless she wrote it for the band and with the show in mind. either way, I bet this will end up on some release sooner or later. digitally released singles, besides being lame, almost never stay that way. they make good gimmicks for "extras" on cds.

I think it makes sense that it's with TJ. She can't keep going off and having affairs with other musicians. After all, she nearly jumped ship after being wooed by Mummy D and Ikeda Takafumi last year.

nooooooo not a song in English! Or a jazz song! If it's a mystery/detective show then it'll probably be one of those songs a femme fatale would sing while lying on a piano in some noir film. That would suck.
