Ohh noooo, are you serious?!??! @_@ I couldn't even tell!! >_<;; I forgot how she sang the original version, but I didn't know she pronounced it "'cuz joo are with me now." @_@;; Augh even though she was lip-synching, I still like how she 'performed' this... >_<;; I think she looks the best here (beside the DO! performance.)
Oh, well at least I know what he's like when he's playing guitar. o_o Thank you!! |
veoh.com has much better video quality.. if nobody knows about that site
there are some tj and sr available there! VERY HIGH QUALITY stuff!~ |
the good thing about veoh is, that you can download that stuff. They even had the anime Ergo proxy in 720p!
|
the interview with her and kiyoshi was so cute. I loved how they met. Apparently she went to a live and left a note on the little survey they had out and figured why not, so she wrote her name and when he read it he was like Shiina Ringo, no way, so he eventually called her, XDXD
|
awesome.
especially koko de kiss shite. |

So finally I proudly present you my first SR cover: Maruno Uchi SADISTIC
Piano - me Drums - me Harmonica - me Bass - me Vocals - A certain person that doesn't want to be credited That was some hard work. Took about 4 months to learn the piano part (yeah, I was lazy), but the rest went rather fast, once that was recorded. The drums were a lot of fun, but I first had to learn how to play them, and well I had to build my own as you can see. I'm ready to be killed by Glath for the soundquality XD If you want, I could also upload it as an mp3, or maybe just a karaoke version for your own entertainment^^ |
I like it
nice job golem09 =====b |
I can't believe you used those for drums!
|
That's my trash can + chopsticks :D
Thanks to Lena! |
epic win golem
|
That's pretty good golem ^__^
|
Ever consider doing your own Utaite Myoli? :D
|
golem09 just 1up'd that Osca kid! :-)
|
Wow, that was good Golem. So what u used for recording and mixing?
lol @ Seele 01, this must be the Ringo Instrucmentality Project. |
I used a D-Piano, a keyboard and for the drums the mic of my webcam. Don't know what Seele 01 used, though. I made the video with the crappy windows movie maker^^
|
*Wishes there were shots of the beautiful and talented singer*
It was a really nice cover. Fun and playful. :) |
hey
I found more /o/ check out this guy, I loved all his covers, but kingyo no hako was sooooo orgasmic *.* and I don't remember if I already post this tadashii machi and suddenly gibs cover or not, probably I already posted -_- and O.õ I found it another superstar cover gunjou biyori acoustic cover marunouchi with very good vocals!!!*____* and good but short sounan cover I will post more, but now I'm in the work and I'll go home >_< |
Ah, I love that guy.
It's nice to listen to Goldfish like that, the chord structure is very groovy. Commendable effort on trying to rearrange Metro for piano. |

OMG
serious... SR should let TJ with Ukie on Vocals and go solo like in the sadistic old times |
I'm kinda starting to like Petrolz. I just wish they would release something I could purchase.
|
OMG uki is such a badass. I can't believe he wrote this song without Ringo @_@. Mirrorball with Shiina was a bit weird, I didn't think his singing blended with the song well.
|
Quote:
Ukigumo can be a beast in the composition phase, but vocals themselves seem to be a different story. Any time he even thinks about singing anything relatively high/falsetto, it derails the song for just a bit. A collection of instrumental Petrolz would be baller, though. And if Uki keeps his vocal range out of the stratosphere, lyrics would be cool, too. (Curious: does anyone like his vocals completely?) |
I don't like his vocals too much. I think it's just entertaining watching him sing, but if I were to get a recording with him singing alot, I would not like it. The only time his vocals work is when he is yelling like in Boutomin and C'mon lets go!.
|
I mainly like his falsetto. And the yelling thing he does in Boutomin and C'mon Let's Go.
|
|
Holy shit, is that Whispermon with that horse head again??
Edit: I like the Tsumi to Batsu's solo. |
I thought the one on the right was Alf for a second.. xD
The Tsumi to batsu cover is good <333 |
yey
found more /o/ http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=shenaringodaisuki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnTJ8...eature=related and wtf XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd9bO...eature=related and this interview I never saw before http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncVVk...eature=related |

Well I found a duo singing, they are very good, but the guitar player is a little harsh at times...
I actually preferred their version of kao, only because its such a smooth song, and I feel their vocals suited it better. But only if they were to sing it in a recording booth... |
^ Wow they are really good. I'm impressed :D
|
|
I think that one (Iamabowl's post) is beautiful. I think she plays a better take than any band after the first band that played it (of course I mean "phase 1.")
Superstars a great song. It's disappointing that Shiina never ever would play an arrangement like this. Just simple, no "drumming on boxes" and stupid shit. Does she (the performer in the vid) have anything more? |
What is simpler than drumming on a box?

good cover.. but she's scary not more than ringo but still scary
|
Lol, the last video with the girl was great. Her voice was amazing.
If I wanted a female singer, it would definitely be someone like her. |
@ShinjiPG
Yeah, her other covers were great, too. I didn't know a load of the songs, but they were all nice sounding. Her voice is great. ._. |
That's a dark voice. Too many cigarettes.
|
@Jonny
Lol, that's a pretty bold statement. |
Her voice reminds me of UA ^.^ Anyway, I like that tone change to the song though there were some parts where I thought she OD'ed (ex. with the line begining "JR shinjuku..." she slows it down and then slows it down again when the original version does at "konya kono...." which I thought was just a bit too redundant and dramatic..but maybe that's just me) anyway I liked it for the most part ^.^
|
I agree with Hobo about the ODing (and with the UA comparison!). Her voice is really good and her playing is good (considering it's a simple song to begin with), but she went overboard sometimes.
I was expecting her to just start screaming at the top of her lungs and her eyes to roll up into their sockets after one of the mondo-slowed-down parts. That actually would've been really cool, come to think of it. |
Joanna Wang.
she just debuted, it seems. not ringoish music. very americana for a taiwan native. |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ6zjyuyOzs
I'm posting this video so that I'm not the only one suffering from a deep sense of fear. |
Lmao. Theremin.
|
omg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jk_x...eature=related they made sounan and a kenka joutou covers too I like better this than HF one XD |
Quote:
|
I really don't like the HF version
T_T I found one more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlIOU...eature=related and this guy http://www.youtube.com/user/richietherichieguy |
same here.. the HF version spoils the special feeling the song has in ZCS ;-;
but in this video the ... but the sakuran ver is nice not as nice as the ZCS one but.. |
I love both versions of Gamble, Climax and HF. I feel special :3
Anyway, that cover for Gamble is very nice in some parts, but very weak in others. And I understand they probably don't have a lot of experience yet, but I don't like the girl's stage presence a bit, lol. Off-Topic: I spotted this on the Related videos, and it really reminded me how much I need to see Mononoke. |
That Gamble cover wasn't too bad, for an obviously amateur band.
|
Keshou Naoshi em português...?
(Keshou Naoshi in portuguese...?) http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=9adl8HHad9Y |
I will put my cover up here... If too many people do not laugh or criticize I might put more of my videos up.
|
Awesome! Not only did you have the balls to post that, but you did a really good job with the song as well. Very impressive.
|
yatta ne, positive remarks. Maybe someone else will like it.

I never commented on that video you upped shinji, man that chick's voice was so sweet. I could not understand, but I was loving her voice. Did she do the instruments herself? |
ahhh singing Ringo in karaoke is one of the best things ever. I love, love, love that they have EVERYTHING official she's ever released, including B-sides and different versions.
|
I will put another one of mine up (I only have 3...) So here goes cover 2.
Note, I do not know the words that well, I used to, but forgot...
Just in case embed fails http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsWIFd_PSv0 |
i shall one day put up my cover :)
楽しみじゃないか? |
please post only in English! Or if you insist on Japanese, provide a translation. This isn't a bilingual board. Thankss.

I was watching through some of the videos here and noticed that in the end of this Rakujitsu (piano) cover there's some Phase 1 or 0 footage I never seen before. Where is it from? |
Ahhh.. I've seen that footage before, I'm just not sure where ?
|
Oh, I really wish someone knew : <
Btw, I found another cover, this time something extremely cute xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-_7r8me5Wk |
Quote:
also watch this!! you have all probaly seen it before ? but not me!! it's awesome, lots of young Shiina footage!!some stuff in the studio as well (young Kameda too) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4W9jegWFEY&NR=1 I used to have a video of her in the studio playing with a little Ringo puppet but I lost it :( anyone know a link to it ? |
Quote:
I never seen Electric Mole or Dynamite Out yet, only some of the performances, but have heard them completely through Glath's rips. I just don't want to spoil them, the first time I'll watch them will be in my tv, not some avi rip. Well, DO is coming already with the Zazen order, too bad it'll only arrive after my birthday, but I'll have an orgasmic day when I watch it anyway~ Also, thanks for that video Ringo~Bingo, never watched it before either :D EDIT: Btw, there's some footage from the instore event in that video, a bit before 6:00! |

So all Ukigumo has to do is turn the reverb dial up = Massive WIN?
Thats the only difference, that and the guitar is pushed forward in the mix. It must have been a tough call for Kameda. If the guitar is really prominent, it overpowers the piano and his bass, so he puts Uki's guitar way back in the mix on the album and live too. Sucks for Ukigumo. because his playing is really good but we cant hear it as boldly like in that video. |
Just found two recent Shiina Ringo cover by niconicosamurai0320. I think the acoustic guitar arrangement of Honnou and Marunouchi sadistic are among the best youtube covers I have seen.
|
WELL....
Before I'm gonna give you the link, of the video I'm referring to, I want to give some explanation to it: This is taken from the last gig of my band's tour through austria... we usually played with metal bands, because our sound is pretty harcoreish, loud and aggressive, but when we arrived at the location at this very gig we ended up at an hippie-open air with accoustic guitars and percussion-groups and stuff... at first we wanted to leave the place and go home, but then the manager asked us to PLEASE play at least 2-3 songs, which we did. for that we used some cheap equipment, which already has been on stage (putting some emphasis on the drum set here!!), so we didn't have too much trouble. One of the 3 songs we played has been our cover-version of ringo-hime's "gamble". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouvpozl7-RQ (Please excuse me not being shaved for a while and not paying attention to the lyrics... I didn't rly care that evening ;) ) |
Well, it was nice nonetheless :)
|
Is the "PACE" in the back meant to be "PEACE"? :-D
