Just listened to the full song. Dying for an instrumental. It's very jazzy and stuff.

the song itself is good but SMAP's singing not so much. I guess we'll have to wait for Ringo's self-cover in order to really enjoy it
I wonder if Ringo also did the arrangement, that keyboard riff is really good |
Yeah, is it bad to say I actually prefer this to the new TJ song? Musically its way more exciting. Not a fan of the vocals much either but they're at least better than any of the guys in TJ's flat voices.

it's still miles better than the new TJ song, but I don't think the new TJ song was written by Ringo

yeah, this is a pretty nice jazzy little song. Nothing special though.
Also, to continue the discussion from the news thread about Ringo appearing on the music show and being rude, yeah... that puzzles me too. I keep thinking she meant to say "Not that this sort of souvenir talk isn't interesting, but" or something like that, but much as I try it just sounds like what it is, a straight-up rude "This isn't interesting, and here's what I want to butt in with." That's extremely rude and blunt even in Japan, and Ringo is so polite. I have no idea what happened. It must be scripted and maybe she got nervous and flubbed it somehow. |

I think what this song is trying to say is "Summer in Japan fucking blows." |
