What DID you expect from Sanmon Gossip?
 

First of all hi I am Marcus and am a relatively new member. *waves*

I had been reading some posts (in the what you think about SG thread) and some of you mentioned that you guys were pleasantly surprised with the album. I just wanted to see what you guys were EXPECTING from this album, before listening to it.

I really like the album but to be honest I really did not know what to expect. Firstly because I am not sure about the histories of her producers, but more so because I see her as a VERY musically-versatile artist.

Suggestion on where to look in case you don't get enough responses.

something new! Something... not Tokyo Jihen. Some electronica. I was hoping for rock but I knew better than to expect it.

I'm so happy for SG doesn't be as I expected XD

I expected another HF and i wasn't that off...but then because these are mostly new songs (at least to me) its 10x better than HF...

I didn't expect anything. I hoped for something challenging, some sort of artistic leap that would knock me off my axis and leave me wobbling for a moment, disoriented and confused. Initially inaccessible, but ultimately richly rewarding.

What did I expect from Sanmon Gossip? Maybe some actual superficial... uh... uwasa? [I tried... >_>;]

I thought I'd receive a half-hearted KSK but actually got the offspring of Variety who, like the child of an immigrant, forged his or her own unique blend of tradition and local modernity.

i was expecting bits and pieces of compositions from post-Adult 2006 to present 2009.

stuff that could have been on Variety, but were intentionally kept from public submission due to the intentions of that project.

And I am very satisfied with what the final product is. 20+ songs including the single and songs written for other singers. Ringo overdose.

after adult, variety, hf, and that Senkou Shoujou bullshit, I basically expected rubbish from SG.
But it turns out not to be rubbish... so... yay?
