Maybe... who knows what her motives are? At least in the past she used to drop more creatively stimulating projects a la Between Today and Tomorrow or Ichigo Ichie on a somewhat regular basis. Now she releases mediocre singles just as often.

Is it that wishful though? Especially in Japan record labels are notorious for fucking over even their most talented artists.
Still, it's sad to imagine that even Ringo - both because of her stature and because she spent her early years resisting such institutions - has fallen to their whim. Maybe she just grew tired of resisting. |
