The famous program Minna no Uta of the NHK network had already appealed to the singer in 2003 ; which had led to the song Ringo no Uta..

A new song by Shiina Ringo, entitled Futari Bocchi Jikan, will be broadcast as part of Minna no Uta in June and July. It will be broadcast for the first time on June 1st.
Hmmm... Will this be the b-side for the Ariamaru Tomi single? I don't think so, since it will be broadcast for the first time on June 1st, after the single release, so this could be her next single...

Sounds good to me. Doesn't this essentially confirm an upcoming album?

merman 2009.04.15 05:39 AM

Ringo no uta didn't confirm an album, at least not a solo one.

clowezra 2009.04.15 05:44 AM

Nono, as in, seeing as this will be her second consecutive new release...doesn't that seem too consistent to not be promotion for a solo album?

Ariamaru Tomi, B-Side, Yokyou, Minna no Uta song -- Ringo's back, guys. LOL

Orenji 2009.04.15 06:05 AM

Well, personally I don't want a children song to be the new single... Okay, 'Ringo no Uta' was kind of great, but it wasn't her best single so I hope this will be the b-side for the next single XD.

Is it a child's song? might be her "Boku wa Kuma"

a_grumble_cake 2009.04.15 06:10 AM

ok, so according to wiki, Minna no Uta "is a five minute NHK TV and radio program ... generally used as filler at the end of regular television programs. While many of the episodes are aimed at children, a large percentage are not, so the program enjoys a wide audience."
I guess that explains the 'NHK Kid's Version' of Ringo no Uta that's on my hard drive.

A single+third new song all released within a month seem to point to a real solo comeback :o

merman 2009.04.15 06:12 AM

I never heard that version, what's the difference?

a_grumble_cake 2009.04.15 06:18 AM

it's a PV
