epsxe emulator for PS1 has been around so long the dinosaurs were using it. Pretty much does the job and is generally up-to-date. Tweak the settings to match whatever level of hardware you use and load up your downloaded ISO's! I've been using it since 2005.

These settings work best for me. Just change the resolution to whatever your own display is.
