SPITZ

I'm amazed there isn't a topic pertaining to them already here.

Who loves this band? I can't believe I haven't heard their music before...
I downloaded their Hayabusa song, one of the ones Shiina covered, and it's fantastic.

Anyone care to share their appreciation/comments?

Sweets for my Spitz, now that's something I need to buy. ;P

Spitz is teh goodness! Lots of their old stuff is too mellow for my tastes, but they've certainly improved over the years. The lead singer is the guy singing with Ringo in Haiiro no Hitomi.. they sound amazing together :')

I also luv spitz O_____O
Sweets for my Spitz is one of the best albums that I already heard!!!!
it was with this album that I heard for the 1st time Kojima Mayumi X3
it was instantly-falling-in-love
anyway, I think I like all that I already heard of spitz ~,~

yesss, I love Spitz!! A lot of their music that was used in 'Honey & Clover' is definitely a best-of kind of selection. :3

In case you didn't noticed, Kameda has taken part in quite a lot of Spitz's songs. >for reference<

He's a friggin genius!

I'm not a huge Spitz fan (mostly because I don't care for the singer's voice), but I have to say that Hotaru is an amazing song.

digdad 2007.12.18 06:39 PM

I agree that a lot of their early stuff is a tad mellow, but I'm loving their latest album Sazanami. Gunjou, produced by Kameda, is catchy as all-get-out. Plus, who can resist Burger King crowns and guys in outrageous bunny suits.:D

Spitz - Gunjou

While on the subject of Spitz, Happy Birthday to their lead singer Kusano Masamune today (well tomorrow here, but today in Japan right now).

(Wooosh!! animates life into mummified thread)

I only have their first album (SPITZ: Remastered) I absolutely hated the Fake Fur album and that put me off trying any of their other stuff!! do they have anything else that is like the first album (which I adore start to finish)
recommendations please. :)

Maou 2008.08.19 10:15 AM

Hayabusa is a great album. It has their best song, Hotaru, on it.

Yahiko 2008.08.21 12:53 PM

SazanamiCD is nice

Ringo~Bingo 2010.09.06 09:57 AM

LMAO!

I love Fake Fur these days. I love everything from Spitz, actually. It was biblical when they dropped all 16 albums on vinyl last summer. :hmph: Unlike most in this thread, I'm more into the mellow jams over the rockier stuff.

Sora no Tobikata
is probably their best album for me outside the debut. "Schlaf " from Hoshi no Kakera is their best tune for me, so dreamy.

Lena-chan 2018.05.04 09:14 AM

For me "Looking for" was the last exciting track they've released
But their last tribute album was one of the best releases of the year it was released (I don't remember which year)
I don't have a favorite album, only favorite songs that are all scattered over the releases
I will aaaalways always have goosebumps just by thinking about "Kaede"
*o*
