Haha, I just recently watched Gay Pur-ee (a fond movie from my childhood which, when watched again, makes you wonder if the subject matter is really appropriate), and her voice seriously sounded like Liza's -- all deep and raspy. It was scary.

you know, i often wonder why that's the case with 80s music. why can i listen to 60s music with no problem and even older music, but the 80s just have this sound i don't like. i usually think it is that they sound cheap. maybe it's because nowadays, we have a lot of similar sounds as those they used back then, but technology has made them better. whereas, an electric guitar used way back when can still sound like that in a song today and be fine. maybe that's it. but it seems with most people i know, they either love or hate the 80s.
