I heard Kokoro today after not having heard it for a long time and I find that Hirama's playing is very similar to how Uki plays. How come he wasn't bashed for it?
I love this song, though, so it's not like I want to bash the song, I just wonder how Hirama was "excused' for this. |
Because Hirama can play that style amongst others. He plays Uki-style in Sounan too.
Uki doesnt get "excused" because Hirama doesn't shoe horn his style into songs that don't call for it. Mail that post back to October 06 when it wasn't something beaten to death quite yet. |
Don't you mean "Hirama" instead of "Uki" in your second to last sentence?
EDIT: Also, I know one of the things that are disliked about Uki is that some think that he forces his style into some songs, but I have not heard anyone really praise him for songs that it does fit in unless its acoustic. So I assumed Uki haters just did not like the style in general. |
Not to start a fight, but listen to the varied guitar playing in Variety. :p
And I understand what you're saying, Jihad ;) |
Varied doesn't mean it's melodious.
Whatever is in Variety is not pleasing to my ears. |
That's more of a songwriting thing though. I'm just saying that he succeeded in playing varied guitar styles well (or as well as the music allowed).
