Ok, that was sad (i cried : (), but it's a necessary step in the evolution of Hikaru that is the whole series.
After that he's starting to become adult, it's like finishing his childhood and going ready to confront the world.
Anyway, i don't really understand why you drop the book ?
The second part coming after that is so full of interresting character's psychology...
