Not really lol. I just saw the
Prefab Sprout video for the King of Rock and Roll (their big UK single) which is the greatest thing ever and immediately downloaded their greatest hits. I'm glad you liked it straight away, because it took a while for it to click with me. Steve McQueen is a great album! I haven't really looked into the genre much at all.
Have you heard much of The Smiths? Not really the same genre, but Morrissey has just as distinct lyrics and voice and they created fantastic 80's indie-pop song.
