YUKI is the same way, she wore a really short wig for such a long time and then starting with her last record started to go au natural and surprisingly enough sports hair past her shoulders. It makes her and Ringo both look so feminine and youthful. I can understand why the temptation to put a wig on is there, it allows them to don a costume and perform as a character. I think as a mother and as someone who has a fairly well known public persona Ringo must really enjoy her time off when she can let her hair down and be out in public without being recognized or bothered much.
