I think there are several reasons why this wouldn't happen, in addition to Ringo's personal motives. If Utada couldn't do it with any of her three English albums, I highly doubt Ringo could - Utada, as intelligent as her work often is, is much more accessible and arguably more "western" in mentality than SR's. Besides, I think she'd probably not do it for purely pragmatic reasons (I can't think of one superstar Asian in the music industry).
