This may not be the least biased place on the web. But when it comes to muzak, how do you take your vocals? Male or Female?

I was always quite taken aback in highschool when I'd ask peoplw this q and was overwhelmingly responded with a "male" answer often citing that "chicks don't sing/can't rock as well as a guy." This completely stupefied me, and does still. I will always always take a girl singer over a guy. To me, a girl's voice is automatically more "musical" -- something I want to hear. What could possibly make the Beatles better?

Then the "girls can't rock" part is equally dumb. If you find a girl and a guy whose scientifically calculated base "rock quotient"are equal --plant that chick in a band the band is 7 times more "rawk" automatically than if it had the guy. And its not just rock. If I wanna hear a folk acoustic song, why do I wanna hear a shitty hair-do'd dude whine and moan?

Anyway, what do you normally prefer?
