Default The K-Music thread

Or Lena-chan's download frenzy thread, if you prefer
I'll start with things not related with idols, in order to get the attention of people who don't enjoy mainstream k-pop.

DEAN: Even being so young he was already an established composer and producer for some huge k-pop acts when he dropped his first release, and everything he touches is gold for me
This is my favorite:

and this one stayed in my mind for 7 straight months, and I didn't remember who was the performer or what was the name of the song

G.Soul: Another gifted composer and AMAAAAZING vocalist. His releases have always been good for me, but then he had some 30s crisis: his dad died, his relationship ended, he changed agencies, and he enlisted the army (you know, it's mandatory there). Months before going (he will be gone for 2 years) he dropped a really really good mini album. I already posted this in another thread, but you have to check out his vocals... such a superb technique

he also did a cover of Smooth Operator some time ago, it's quite good IMO

Chancellor: omg SOMEBODY CALL AN EXORCIST, THERE IS A MICHAEL JACKSON INSIDE OF THIS BOY!!! I didn't know how to read korean characters, so I had these few songs that I thought were really good and really really reminiscent of MJ. How surprised I was when I discovered that all of them featured the same person, Chancellor. It's not his voice and his falsetto, it's his melodies, I don't know. Here is the most strong example, MJ incorporates him at 1:01 minutes

A song by Primary (another great producer) featuring him. It sounds like the 90s for me *_*

btw, this album (Primary's Shininryu) was one of the best albums of 2017 IMO

Hoody: She is another good composer and vocalist. All her compositions have this touch of her personality that you know instantly who composed it, and her voice is so fucking pleasuring. Once I start I can't stop listening to her all day long

Here are a couple of her most recent releases

ELO: I don't know much about him, but for me it's another case of enjoying everything he is featured on.
this here is my favorite from him:

Samuel Seo: I was so obsessed with him that I edited his jpopsuki page and searched the whole internet for his releases that were not there yet. Now one of his albums has no seeds ;o; and I don't have the files anymore. He is so underrated! His style is very distinctive from all the RnB/Hip-hop that is being released in korea. Also, some of his recent releases have cool animated MVs, I just love korean illustration/design/arts!
This is my favorite, another song that feels like the 90s to me

Here is one of the most underrated songs of Korea

And this one is with one of the dissident members of 4minute (I guess)

That's it for today
