I'd love to make a list with some neat descriptions/mini reviews and all that jazz. However, I don't think it would work out all that well because I've only listened to 6-7 new albums this year. Most of the albums I thought were great (Let England Shake, The Big Roar, Strange Mercy) have been touched upon already. However, there is one album I loved that seems to be getting overlooked everywhere:
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong
An album that features a mix of 80s and 90s feel with a more modern sonic signature. It feels genuine and shows progress from the band's previous album (though I'd argue that doesn't mean it's better). It's not the greatest album ever or anything, but it does deserve some recognition this year.
