I didn't think it was intended to seem racist, not at all. I simply wasn't sure if it was meant as soul/hip hop/r&b singers in general or not. In which case, there's little to no need to differentiate between color as Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse would be as bad as Aretha Franklin or Angie Stone*. That's all I was trying to point out.
*By the by, I love Amy Winehouse and Aretha Franklin.
