She [Shiina Ringo] didn’t like rock music because it was so noisy. She even says that she didn’t like Nirvana, fronted by Kurt Cobain, who comes up in one of her songs later on. Rock music reminded her of illness and made her sick.
She even thought, ‘Rock music, it’s so geeky.’
