Iamamiwhoami's Kin has a couple of good songs like Goods. It's mediocre and doesn't hold up.
Fiona Apple's The Idler Wheel is a terrible album. Her early album When the Pawn is filled catchy piano-rock songs and sultry singing, on the other hand The Idler Wheel completely gives up rock dynamics, and we're left with a bunch of lifeless songs with minimal arrangement. There is neither rock nor jazz in her music now, just a voice that cannot carry an album. Also, lyrically I feel more disconnected with her than ever. Not that I care much about them.
Gonna check out Pile, Purity Ring and BADBADNOTGOOD, and I've always liked The Stars. Thanks!
