Default Senkou Shoujo DVD Review

When I first opened the DVD, I was a bit disappointed. First, it is in a regular CD case, which I do not like so much, although I'm just nit-picking here. Second, the booklet is just like it is for the singles, it has the lyrics for the three songs and the credits, and thats it! No pictures of the band or anything, which I thought would have been more appropriate for a DVD release. That aside, the purple colors is really cool, and I guess the gizagiza packaging is the stripes that are built into the CD case and not just part of the booklet.

When you pop in the DVD, you are welcomed with this menu. Finally, we see Ringo's hand! The contents are:

OSCA
Killer Tune
Senkou Shoujo
End Roll
Multiple angles of OSCA

The first three are self-explanatory. The endroll, as mentioned before, shows credits mixed in with new scenes of the two girls from the PV and has the song playing, with english lyrics, and a slower tempo, slightly different arrangement, and classical piano included. I really like this version of the song, and it was such a surprise!!

Uki does some sort of Robot move = entertainment

The multiple angles for OSCA are pretty cool also. Basically, its two different PVs. One is focused on the band and the other is focused on the dancers. The one with the band is my favorite of all three versions of the PV. It just shows them performing, and you only see the dancers once, during the mini-solos in the middle, waving the flashlights around. They do some very entertaining things, making faces, and playing their instruments funny. As you can see in the screenshot above, Uki makes some funny faces and poses.

Izawa sprinkles his magic dust on his piano to make it play awesome sounds

The dancers version of OSCA, just shows the dancers and the band is barely shown, they are just a backdrop. It is pretty interesting but I don't like just watching them as much as I like the mix of them and the band, or the band on their own.

From the main menu, you can see a little girl running on the bottom-right corner, this is the symbol for Senkou Shoujo, and if you click on it, it shows you the commercials for Variety.

All in all, I'm really happy with this DVD, it is awesome to watch the PVs in better quality and great sound as well. It also doesn't hurt that it has another version of the song that I did not even know would be on there!
