Edit: this sent me on a japanese music rediscovery rabbit hole. I will never understand why Kinoku Teikoku isn't more loved around here. They are super consistent, melodic, and nice and crunchy. They're such a lovely band.
I get why Oomori has the mantle around here, but Kinoku Teikoku really ought to be the contrarian's pick.
The fact Utada gets discussed round here more than Brilliant Green is probably why I often feel like I'm the outside looking in.
