@ParisJihen: I actually showed that video to my friends a couple weeks ago. Did you do it yourself? It's amazing. I love the tone you used.

Yes I did. Thank you for your comment !
I already did 2 songs and I will probably continue with some other songs from this album. It's such a pleasure to have that instrumental version... btw, where are you from ? (what I like in international forums is to know where are the people I'm in contact with. This information should be compulsory !!!)

Yes, please keep making covers! I think a rendition of Hatsukoi Shoujo would compliment your psychadelic tone. And as for your question, I am from the state of Kentucky. =)

I also think, your stuff is amazing!
The only point of critism that comes to mind, would be, that you should turn up the background a little... imho! |

A guitar cover of Hatsukoi Shoujo shouldn't be too difficult depending on what section you choose to cover. Use an EBow and super clean/delay tone and you'll be golden.
I started recording a cover of Gibs. I'm giving it more of a Smashing Pumpkins feel with the buzzsaw guitars (I'm using a Billy Corgan Strat/Big Muff) in the chorus. I'm also using a Fuzz Factory for the iconic arpeggio and the solo.

Do you have any control over your 'mix', other than Electric Guitar versus Everything Else? Could you increase the drums or lower the strings?
Here's a challenge: Try covering a Shiina Ringo composition that wasn't featured in Heisei Fuuzoku, and isn't Private, Cappuccino, Amagasa, or Kachuu no Otoko. I can't say I dislike what you've done with the guitar, but it's obvious to me why Heisei Fuuzoku tracks are the only past and future candidates being taken into consideration.

this cover of Shun is really quite interesting, rather than just transcribe the piano he goes to convey the overall feel of the song, complete with the entire band and the melody and vocal parts. very interesting
