Granted, since it's equally possible that his name is Sonata with really weird Ringokanji, I suppose anything is possible. |

If I'm remembering correctly, Ringo's son introduced himself as the the "child of the Kronekodow" or something like that at the Ringo Expo. I'm no expert on Japanese naming customs by any means, but I believe the child's surname is Shiina. I thought I read sometime ago that Yayoshi joined Shiina's family/koseki/whatever.

Yes, exactly. He called himself "Kuronekoya's young master." And also, all of that is true; his last name is likely Shiina.
Also, his speech during Ringo Expo 08 is translated here. |
