Your favourite Tokyo Jihen release of 2012
So, 2012 was a quite ridiculous year for the number of Tokyo Jihen releases. What I want to know is which one you enjoyed the most (or hated the least :-p) out of what was released.
I voted for Shinya Waku, simply cause it plays like a nice album, most likely a better album than Sports and Daihakken.

Shinyawaku is a real treat for fans who don't buy singles, so it gets my vote.
Color Bars shows that Ringo is still a pop genius and hasn't lost it. It is pretty good. I genuinely enjoyed Discovery and Bon Voyage, except for the part in which Ringo wears a big pink wig (now I see it as a kind of stylish hat). The performance on Discovery is just dreamy. There are a couple of other gems I forgot, but I'm pretty sure they're not meant to milk cash from obsessive fans at all. Last edited by Inseu : 2012.11.12 at 06:45 PM. |

Bon Voyage. despite it's disappointments it had some great performances and it was worth it just for seishun no matataki alone. Color Bars is close 2nd. Shinyawaku is great but it's just a compilation

I think in the end, the most cash-grab ones were Tokyo Collection and Chin-Play Kou Play, despite Collection having the best new song and Chin-Play Kou Play having the Virgin Line stuff. Out of the 2 main concerts, I'm picking Bon Voyage.

Out of curiosity, how many other people actually bought Chin Play Kou Play? I know Glath did, and perhaps Inseu...

I voted for Shinyawaku. Even Tadanaranu Kankei has really grown on me.

Chin-Play Kou Play isn't that much of a cash-grab considering I bought the Hong Kong version, and I end up really liking the virgin line clips. The Japanese version of those PV collections all cost about $20 each.
