Replace "Pepsi" with "Coke" and this is exactly what is going on behind the scenes with Ringo, I'm sure.

Jees, Samzpoke on JPS just pointed out this WTF Ringo stan blog (not updated since 2008 it seems) that I was unaware of, full of amazing poetry, such as:
A Girl With Class Ringo, your pussy Is like the nine trillionth IV interval 1/43 equation found in the string quartet of Debussy Ringo, your cunt Is like the idiomatic chord progressions that fuel the power-pop found on Todd Rundgren's album Runt Ringo, your arse Is like the Deleuzeian idea of a man's need for data being incorrigible, the need for it to be metaphysically parsed Ringo, your dick It doesn't exist Ringo, my girl You rock my world in a manner equivalent to distorted chord riffers such as t'Sabbath and t'Deep Pur'l Ringo, my bitch You suck my dick, a sexy witch! Fuck me in the ass! Shit on my balls! Eat my shite! Lick my world! Know this well, as a girl of trust! Your ubiquitous charms are the subject of my lust yeah, and I'm gonna go live in Japan Wear a scarf and stick it to the man Wielding the folklore of Circe and Pan And the Renaissance stylings of Steeleye Span! Django Reindhart ROCKS!! http://ringosroom.blogspot.com.au/ Someone needs to make these into songs and send it to her. Flattering stuff!

^ god not this blog again. please. I hoped it would have been deleted by this point...
is there anywhere else this can go? perhaps we should consider permanently erasing it from our reality? where is the "incredibly nauseated" emoticon...?

Why the upset?
Ringo's already whored herself to Coke, there's no need to 'defend her honour' anymore :-p

It's not really news-news, and may weird out other members, noobs, lurkers, or non-members who may use this page as a source for English-language news... was my main issue (besides it being weird and reminding me of the first time I stumbled upon that website (shudders))
I don't know why you chose the wording you did, but she's been commissioned to write songs many times in the past. I can't see how one song being written for a commercial aired for a few months has somehow negated the wealth of completely original material she's written and published over the last nearly 2 decades. Plus, I finally have a Ringo song to share with my parents without them thinking I'm super weird

Well, holy shit. Lets do this. Again.
Why everyone should be at least a little worried: -Jihen disband- a move that should have been an amazing, exciting development- has actually spelt somewhat ruin for Ringo. Instead of having a goofy band she could mess around and release little fun albums while secretly working on a decent solo album has ended up with her releasing an album like Sunny- an EP in disguise; new songs being sub-par to OK. -The best song she's released recently has been Kamisama- which really is no better than anything on Daihakken. Fact. Breaking up Jihen seems like a sham to me. -The Vogue interview- confirms the worst of suspicions- even if it was just her joking around- that she does not really care about what she is doing anymore. It's all a big cash in. While this is fine from a profit perspect- it really kinda sucks for the longterm fans. -She's gone full Ayu, yet doesnt have the chops to do it right. Expo 14 is a blinding display of lighting and not much more. Unfortunately, a lot of people really wet themselves over this and can't see past the frivolity. IMO, it's a weak peformance on both a musical and theatrical level. I'd rather watch Gaga. -Are people really enjoying the new songs, or the PVs- the last two PVs are waaaay better than the actual songs... And finally, looking ahead: -After what she did with Sunny, can we expect to get more albums consisting of half old tracks (not even rearranged) again? She's already given in to that temptation, and I sincerely believe that once she's had a taste of doing things the easy way- this is what she will do from now on. -Is the mastering just going to keep up like this? When will this stop? Why are people so easily accepting of all of this? Has anyone even thought about this the way I am? Am I crazy questioning all these things? I can't for a second believe people actually want this... or maybe they do/I'm missing some kind of point and I'm just old fashioned. Am I just being an elitist douche? I dunno. I can't see this forum being so happy with stuff like Sunny say, 5 years back... Someone please help me fathom it all!

To the mastering point, almost every records released in 2010s are suffering for that. Deal with it.
edit: YES, your highly praised OOMORI also suffer from this: Last edited by harry4567 : 2015.09.15 at 07:30 AM. |
