It sounds along the lines of Yume no Ato (HF version) so what that means to you is probably what you're gonna think of it.

I'm not gonna state the obvious about what I think :-p

Sounds good to me. I'm sure I'll like it since I have terrible taste in music and am easily impressionable.

Oh it sounds pretty, but it was really hard to hear it over the sound of the show clips. "I'm sure I'll like it since I have terrible taste in music" yep.

I do actually kind of want to watch Carnation.

If I heard a new singer sing perform those songs, knowing that they wrote and produced all of that, with all of that style and gusto, I would instantly be hooked.

In fact, do let me know if you know of anybody like that. Always open to trying new music.

EDIT: What little I can make out of Carnation sounds really pretty. But there's just too much talking going on over it for me to form a proper opinion though.

So she IS a symmetry freak. On Kronekodow, instead of saying 私の愛する, it says 私の愛するひと, so now it is a 7-character song title. Okay let's just admit the obvious: she's on the forums.

@Jihad
Your definition of Jazz is ridiculously narrow

@Scribble
Oh, see now there is the problem. It's not that you don't like the songs, it's just that they don't sound like what YOU think "Shiina Ringo" should sound like. Well, too bad.
Her jazzy songs were the ones that made me fall in love with her.
And if those songs are considered "vanity-songs" then what is the unwarranted pretentiousness of Shouso Strip called?

..but informed.

I mean, we could call Identity jazz too if we were using a broad enough definition. Irokoizata more closely fits either: Adult Contemporary or Muzac.

I like what I'm hearing so far.

Wonder if she'll "Ariamaru Tomi" this and follow up with an album that isn't worked around something made for a TV show. Not sure how much I'd like an album of this kind of material, but I'll be happy as long as a.) we actually get a solo album next year and b.) the songs all fit together.
