I'd read that as "sock", and have done so before, in multiple instances--"sock stalking, sock puppet, etc." Kutsushita is indeed the Japanese word for sock, but as most people know, the Japanese word is not always what is exclusively used over the western equivalent. But actually, usually when it's put into katakana, I see it as ソックス.

In anycase, I would read the neowing quote as "sack-case". But I'd also like to mention that I haven't actually seen the packaged item in the first place, and that katakana, in more than one case, is sensitive to differentiation in terms of spelling. That and I don't really care so much about this.

The romaji wasn't right, but ソック = sock and ソックス = socks.
Check a Japanese dictionary.

If you want to get anal, I believe you have the romaji all wrong:

"sooku"= ソーク (not ソック = sokku), and "saaku" = サーク (not サック = sakku)

Yes, the false romanization was a throw-off.

As fascinating of a discussion as this is, can we get back to how terrible "Fukushuu" is? I'm still kind of amazed that a band as good as TJ can exercise such poor judgment by including this on the album.

What I like about Jihen is their originality--the fact that Tokyo Jihen sounds like nobody but Tokyo Jihen. Somebody please explain to me how it's possible to enjoy this song. HEDOfloe, I'm surprised that you're so accepting of the track. Care to elaborate some more?

This track has not gotten a lot of play time from me when I'm on the go since I usually don't have enough time to get through the whole album so I have skipped it and mirrorball, and OSCA (because I've heard it enough already), and sometimes killer tune (for the same reason as OSCA) so that I can get through most of the album in the time I have. While I agree with those who said that it sounds very western and unoriginal in a way, I think they were able to blend their own sounds and style into it which makes it enjoyable. While I would not say it is a TJ-like song and never recommend it to a new listener because it does not represent the band properly, I still find it enjoying. Mainly, I like Ringo's vocals and the lyrics in general. I really like it when she sings English, especially now that she has gotten better at it. Not just for the fact that I can understand it more, but because I find her accent very charming and I really enjoy hearing her sing. The pacing of the song is another thing I like. I like how in the slower parts she gives you the feeling that it's building up to the louder parts. I also like the change around 3:27 when she says "you'll never really know" a couple of times and then ending is pretty cool too.

Btw, I wonder why is it that you are surprised that I like this track?? Have I said anything before that would go for the contrary?

EDIT:

ZOMG Give it up for Uki for writing Boutomin!! I can hear that song over and over and over ^__^

EDIT 2:
Someone on youtube said:
" Their new album reminds me of the beatles xD"
^__^

This song is like stepping on the accelerator pedal of a fast car all the way to the floor but the car stays in "P" the entire time and doesnt move an inch.

Fukushuu is an airplane that drives at top speed on the runway and never takes off into flight crashes through the fence and into the ocean.

You wait and wait through all the build up to get rocked at the chorus, still more waiting and anticipation. Next thing you know Uki is going "bla-blah-blah, blablabla La~dee! DeeJay!" and you wonder what happened.

I love it so much its the only song I don't skip over...in bizarro world.

Boutomin could have been on Adult. I can slip it in after shuraba and it will blend in perfectly with the tracklist.
