i forgot to post about it .. I about the Press release DVD thingie .. "Making of Sakuran" Kinda . (it was on sale and $10 at kinokuniya so i had to get it) , anyway I was watching it and it was interesting , FULL of HF instrumentals during the actors talking about their parts in the movie . There is a section where Shiina talks about her songs. I wanted to get that part online , see if anyone could translate... hmm . anyway , Im anticipating watching the movie.

(Anyone know when the Movie soundtrack , is or if its going to have one? .. I really want Gamble sakur ver.)

Ack, I still need to pre-order this DVD. >_< And, it's just "Gamble" that has a different version from the HF album in the movie, right? o_o

Oh no, that's what I'm looking forward to the most in this movie. >_< But I'm not expert at incorporating music into movies, so hopefully it'll be okay for me.

there was some slightly reworked versions of HF music in the movie, instrumentals of Kuki, which really impressed me for some reason I seem to remember

more or less if you have HF you have it. The music in the movie is almost never full length anyways, mostly smaller clips.

I am so excited about this coming home on DVD. I want to practice Yoshiwara-go, de arinsuuuuuu~~~

It's frustrating waiting for this one...hasn't played the East Coast anywhere. My only hope is Fantasia in Montreal.

It's not even in the New York Asian Film Festival. Cripe.

Here's an interview with Mika Ninagawa, from the L.A. Times.

I was going to buy this DVD, but now I'm thinking it's too expensive and I'll wait for an online rip (which you know will happen!).

The schedule is supposed to be available June 26th, I'm keeping my fingers crossed but since they're having a 3rd theater this year, they're gonna show a lot more full features!

Here's the Fantasia schedule:

Unfortunately, Sakuran isn't on it.

Fortunately, there's lots of other great stuff.
