The music snob in me wants to hate a band with pretentious song titles like "This Is How You Spell 'Hahaha, We Destroyed the Hopes and Dreams of a Generation of Faux-Romantics.'" but they're just too fun. Glockenspiel's are awesome.
I listened to the first album quite a bit. I'm not sure which I prefer though. The second album isn't as catchy, but inherently less annoying.

The lyrics and titles really really really annoy me also. On both albums. But more so on the first. They're all so pretentiously wannabe indie.

I've talked myself into disliking them now =) Though yeah, I think I can deal with them in small doses.

Speaking of pretentious titles...

CLT: Coldplay - Death and All His Friends

Yeah, I know what you mean. The song on the first album where the guy just talks... I want to slap him so hard

Aw, I thought the Fiona Apple cover might have been a cover of 'I Want You (She' So Heavy)' by the Beatles, particularly after recently hearing and enjoying her cover of Across The Universe which is what I'm CLT.

On Libertines reunion front, Doherty recently travelled to one of the final Dirty Pretty Things gigs and apparently Barat said he's "considering it"
