related but unrelated

the other day I was assisting at a photo shoot with jorge (hurley) and he was a really cool guy. he seemed a bit standoffish when not talking, probably because people were standing around and gawking at him like some side show entertainment etc, but when there were no spectators around he was super nice. my friend asked him if he wanted an "adult beverage (heineken)" and he was really "what?" and she was like screaming "ADULT BEVERAGE" because he couldn't hear her and the children running around were like "whats that?" LOL it was pretty hilarious.

Ha, that's pretty cool. Did he accept the Heineken eventually?

hahaha, well its not like you just go walking down the street and see random cast members from LOST and celebrities on vacation strolling down the beach casually. They shoot LOST mostly on Kauai, which isn't on the same island as Honolulu, Oahu. And most...errr....white tourists like to go to Maui (honolulu is more like an actual urban city than the tropic lush hawaii most people think of, except for the stretch of beach and resorts in waikiki, its a standard city more or less) so seeing celebrities out and about in Hawaii isn't as common as you'd think.

although my boyfriend has worked with the cast, Obama, and Zhang Ziyi (who was apparently a huge diva) here on the island.

IGN Review of the premiere (Without any spoilers) was
FUCKTASTICK HOLY SHIT GREAT!

Like previous years, the opening of season five delivers a major surprise. It also offers up an unexpected character in an unexpected place.
chhhhhooo yeah!

After that opening sequence, it's easy to understand the direction the episode and the rest of the season will take. This is a major "game changing" event and the majority of the episode is dedicated to the survivors still on the island and the repercussions they face due to Ben's decision to turn the donkey wheel. In this regard, the story does an exceptional job of explaining what is going on without becoming muddled by boring exposition and techno-babble.
great, ya!

Yeah I've read a few reviews of the premier and they pretty much all describe the opening moments and the first episode as huge. One review (can't remember where) said that major, major answers are given away in the first episode As awesome as Season 4 and it's opener was, it was more based on setting up the Oceanic 6 off the island and the introduction of the freighter crew. The opening with Hurley in the car chase was great fun, but it didn't have the effect the previous openers had (Desmond in the hatch, the book club in othersville). The Season 5 opener seems to dig deeper into the shows mythology than ever. I can't wait!

I'm still sticking with my back to Dharma times theory, I think the Oceanic 6 will be back on the island within the first 8 episodes and I think the opening scene will show a usual character in what seems to be a usual place/situation and it will end up being the island in it's new timeline, similar to the camera pullbacks in Season 2 and 3 revealing odd places to be on the island.
