Hirai does a lot of his falsetto-singing, just as always, but it also sounds great, just as always ^^
I didn't like everything he did in the past, but I still admire him for his skills as a singer (...and for his looks XD). thx a lot (again) pariscombo =) |

OMG Why would Shiina even associate herself with someone as... incapable as Ken? I absolutely hate him. He can't even pitch himself correctly. And his falsetto isn't even nice to listen to. And what kind of guy sings purely in falsetto? And that stupid hand thing. It's distracting and lame!
Shiina looked as hot as usual (although I thought she had already gotten over the whole HF look. Guess not...) But why Ken Hirai? |

I really don't have too much a problem with Ken. I think he has some good songs (as well as bad ones). But in these videos, both he and Shiina sound like they're learning how to sing. I didn't enjoy it at all.
EDIT: It appears that Shiina is choking on her lip-gloss, Ken is too fascinated by his hand movement, and that it's just bad song selection for what they were trying to do. I think, with the right songs, it could be a great duo, but they just kinda blow it for me. Last edited by Akagaminosteven : 2007.10.14 at 10:02 AM. |

@akagamino I get your point... I also felt like it sounded rather badly prepared... but well...that's just the way it goes most times... ^^
anyway I really enjoy that combination... I always imagined, how Ringo's and Hirai's voices may sound together - and maybe they'll team up again some day and do a better job @kanzaki there's a lot of things, you can call Hirai Ken, but "incapable" is definitely not among these. He may be one of the most capable male pop-singers to find nowadays - even if his habit of singing in falsetto may be a little unusual to go with from time to time. PS: I also find his hand-movements rather distracting XD |

Hirai Ken should be forbidden to sing other people's songs.
...In fact, he should be forbidden to sing his own songs too. |

Hoooollly shit, who is that dweeb? Painful to listen to his voice, and disgusting to watch his gestures.

Hehehheh >_<;; I don't really like Hirai Ken either, but he didn't do as bad as I'd imagined. o_o;; "Killer Tune" has a nice melody, so it was fun hearing another singer sing it. I guess they chose to sing this song since Hirai is known for his falseto (although I've heard better o_o <33) and Ringo didn't sing it as scratchy as in the TV performances. She sang soo beautifully in "Sha la la"!! *_* You're right JR, I think her voice is getting better!!
This is Ringo's real hair, right?!? O_O Was it this short when they released "Killer Tune"???? (When was this live?) But wow, her hair is so glossy and perfect. *_*;; Thank youu, Pariscombo!! I can't download the whole show on JPOPSUKI because my laptop would die. =_=;;
