Oh, I've read about a book with that title as well a few months ago - it's a book from the former Czechoslovakia, so basically where I come from... supposedly it has a Chinese translation as well. I wondered back then whether the title is a coincidence...

David Sylvian wrote a song called Laughter and Forgetting for his 1986 Gone To Earth album. The title was inspired by Milan Kundera's novel, The Book Of Laughter & Forgetting.

And on to my more mundane post... HALCALI recently collaborated with hip-hop band TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET to create an electronic remix of Scha Dara Parr’s 1994 hit Konya wa Boogie Back. This song is featured in a CM promoting the new Nissan Cube automobile. The one-minute CM features lively animations from graphic artist Ukawa Naohiro. Fun! Hopefully a full length song will be released.

Yup I read Hexstatic's wiki page and I'm intrigued by their work... They have a video podcast on NinjaTune that you can download free from the iTunes store... It's ep 93 and it features that lactating man video o_o. 50minutes of pure musical goodness! I watched it last night and it was aaaaammaaaazing. Really good tunes and beats, and that ping pong thing they do is perfection, you should see it! CLT: Mark Ronson - Just (radiohead cover)
