So, H Zett M is producing a new single by Takahashi Hitomi.
You know, the singer who somehow worked with Nakamura Koji and TAKUYA despite her average voice. Well, now she somehow roped in HZM. The new single is called "Poolside", and I haven't listened to it yet. EDIT: I have, and it's awesome. Also, HZM has a new band (they appear in the video).
Fun fact: She lists Shiina Ringo as one of her favorite artists. EDIT: Apparently if the single cover is to be believed, it comes with an HZM keychain (WFT!?) EDIT EDIT: And he's wearing the blue-nose paint. Last edited by TurtleFu : 2011.07.01 at 07:56 AM. |

Nice that I can still go to HZM for my semi-Phase 1 fix.

I was pretty much sure he had composed this, it sounds a bit like SLOW DAYS, that is the chorus.
I came to love this song on my second listen, nice and cheerful energy. Definitely looking forward to the whole single release. The guitarist seems to be the same as before, the one from mimitto and H ZETT M live performances. Oh, by the way, apartRECORDS uploaded several songs from the DVDs on their YouTube channel, I didn't look carefully but probably all of them. Last edited by Carlx : 2011.07.09 at 09:47 PM. |

He composed it, and co-write the lyrics with Takahashi Hitomi. The b-side is composed by Hitomi.
Oh, see, I didn't know about mimitto before. But yes, that's mimitto. I thought they were new (they aren't?) |

I don't know anything about mimitto, I met them just because of H ZETT M, he made a collaboration but I wasn't interested enough (yet, maybe). They aren't new, I think Glathannus can provide more information. |

I haven't discovered yet what the extent of the roster overlap is (if any) between mimitto, and other projects H ZETT M has been involved in. I've had a physical copy of their mini-album, though. I'll have to cross-compare between the credited names in the booklets, if the Japanese wikipedia doesn't say everything.

Sorry, by "b-side" I mean't 2nd b-side.
But seriously, can anyone answer why HZM is working with this person in the first place? |

maybe they're friends? thats how collabs usually start.
The song sounds like a PE'Z song with vocals substituting the horns. |

Slowpoke here, just listened to Poolside. Shit, it's good. I should really follow HZM more closely.
New embed, if anyone cares.
