I just want nothing jazz oriented in whatever her next move is.

OR Variety-esque

Would just like to add some things that have been said before, but possibly not on this thread (I think):

- If I remember correctly, she says/said she didn't want to go back solo again and that she belonged in a band (environment).
- Ukigumo is busy with Petrolz.
- Izawa's band, Appa, just released Rashipoki and are probably touring or something.
- Kameda is organizing that show.

So we have a singer who doesn't want to abandon the band and a band who is not really much available at the moment. Is it too much to expect an hiatus of sorts?

Thx for bring all that to our attention, Shinji.

Looks like it'll be overly optimistic to expect a new album this year.

I'm okay with that, Shiina hasn't really done anything to warrant my excitement, I'm happy listening to Tsumi to Batsu live on Otakara for the umpteenth time.

Ahhh, Yelle. Now that her songs are popping up on my iPod amidst other music, I'm not so sure I enjoy her anymore. But I do still like that other song that was posted on here a couple months ago.

ok... now that you guys mention it, I see what you mean. It never bothered me with OSCA because it seemed intentional and it fits the song. I never did like killer tune.
Obviously her voice is different and I just hope the more extreme form of screechy-ness doesn't pop up too often in future studio recordings.
