Midori splitting had left a hole. 385 sufficed for a while, but got stale fast.

Enter Gusya Ningen. Holy shit, I am impressed by this band. They're like the ultimate Midori/Jun Togawa/metal/psychadelia hybrid band. And the video has cute girls picking each others noses till they bleed! (And a fair bit of booger rolling)

Must honorably mention that the screaming is top notch, easily matches Togawa's Punk Mushi no Onna and Mariko Goto's phlegm inducing wailing!

Gusya Ningen- FFV

Thought I'd introduce some music from South Asia that I like
Shaa'ir + Func - Shine

Probably one of the most popular indie bands, based out of Mumbai. The lyrics are good, it's electronic rock with some jazz/blues influence in some songs. They definitely represent Mumbai really well. You can get their entire 3rd album "Mantis" (including this song) if you "Like" their facebook.
Zed and Haniya

Pakistani cousins duo. Kinda of laid-back lounge pop, think Nora Jones. Some of their songs have strong Pakistani folk influence.
AR Rahman, MIA

Now for some Bollywood (kind of). AR Rahman and MIA are both Tamil, though AR Rahman is Indian and MIA is Sri Lankan. Bollywood music is the "mainstream" music of India, but I find it to be very artistic. Many Bollywood composers are true artists and very inventive with their sounds. AR Rahman is good at making fusion music.
