Hey Fluffie. Just to show I've given this album a chance since I got it, and as the number of listens in iTunes was mentioned here's mine. Uki's winning: Boutomin 10 (ten! I must think it's a good song...), OSCA 8, Metro 7, Kingyo, Shiseikatsu, SSAW, Sake to Geko, Killer Tune 6, Mirror Ball, Kuronekodou 5, Ramp, Fukushuu 4, La Princesse 2. Those numbers will do for my marks out of 10 too, lol. But I want to listen to more recognisably SR records nao.

Yeaaah! The lyrics are awesome
I read the ones in your site, and they made me think of the "Ringo no Uta" lyrics, since both have this type of innocent view of the world. And the fact that she's talking in the cat's perspective reminds me of "Neko ni Fuusen" by Ai Otsuka, another song with great lyrics. |

Kronekoekoekekekodow isn't bad.
Er, I used to like OSCA, but listening to it now, it sounds really dry. Looks like it was just one of those songs you like immediately then loses their appeal sometime later. That's pretty much the whole of VARIETYY. |

I couldn't stand OSCA when it first came out (and it was one of the few times where I had the money and decided to preorder the single too.) and because of that I didn't feel the need/want to buy or listen to Variety until 6 months after it was released. I finally got to appreciate it within the context of the album, but it's still not one of my favorites.

OSCA is probably the only track on the album that even bothers to play to ringo's strengths. This is why the album more or less fails, I think, because when writing the music I don't think anyone was really concerned with writing a song that suits Ringo, plays to her strengths and really utilizes her role. A few of the songs worked, but a lot of them sound like they really could have nothing to do with Ringo.
