Really nice episode. I've always liked Ben, it was nice to see him have a bit of redemption even if his last scene standing out of the happy reunion was still really sad. He still killed Locke which is close to unforgivable, but he clearly regrets it now and just got tangled up in his own quest for power.
Widmore coming back is interesting. I think he's coming to help Flocke leave the island. It just seems too convenient that Flocke told Locke (via Alpert) that he had to leave the island and die, and upon leaving Widmore is waiting for him in Tunisia and tells him "You have to go back or the wrong side will win", and now he's back with a sub whilst Flocke waits on the other island, right next to a pier. Of course it won't be that simple or else Widmore would just pull up and take them away, and there's too many episodes left for that to just happen. Alpert stuff was interesting too. Glad we'll be getting more answers about him relatively soon.

I thought about Widmore beeing with Smokey again today. Then I realized, that it was Smokey who helped BEN, by killing WIDMOREs people.
Maybe Widmore knew since he left the island, that Ben wasn't even able to see Jacob, and thought Ben would corrupt it by his need for Power. Maybe he is with Illana. Ben and Widmore teaming up would be quite the sight

Ben's calling of Smokey is some of Smokeys weirdest behaviour, I think. Or at least it's harder to figure out if it was his own actions, and if so why and if not how? Prior to Jacobs death was Ben always, if ever, in control of Smokey? If Smokey had enough free will to bring about his loop-hole, why did he have to answer to Ben's call?
I think Widmore could fall on both sides really, or he could just be working alone now. I said a few weeks ago that I think there will be a third party that the island will need protecting from, maybe that is Widmore.

But still, maybe Widmore sent his people to the island so that Ben and Locke would have to move the island thus lock can die and return blabla and so on.

Ooops, we're totally forgetting one thing though:
Jacob WANTS Widmore to come to the island. Remember Hurley's mission to help someone get to the island? Although the mission was fake, it didn't seem to me that that someone was an enemy of Jacob.

Not a bad episode last night, but one of the weakest of the season so far I felt. Not much happened, it was more of a set-up type episode but still entertaining with a few notable pieces of information. It's becoming increasingly hard to tell the good from the bad and the goal of each character. What Widmore and Smokey actually want. I can bet that Flocke's endgame isn't to simply fly into the sunset.
I can't wait for next weeks episode... HYPE!

Well I think that may be my new favourite Lost episode of all time.

Indeed, one of the best. Richard should get an Emmy his acting, it was superb all the way, starting with his mad laughter and ending with him talking to his dead wife.
In addition to that, finally a new scene between Jacob and MiB.

Last Night I thought about a new theory concerning MiB. It didn't really fit together, but I still like the idea:
MiB is the collective consciousness of all dead candidates. I don't know why he is stuck to John Lockes form, maybe because he is the last dead candidates, or the last one that came to the island as a body. But it would make sense. If John and Christian are still IN MiB, then that would explain why Christian was able to send greetings to his son, and why MiB knew how Locke felt when he died. That could also mean, that the whispers are just another form of MiB, like the smoke. All the other stuff I thought off when I expanded the theory sadly proved wrong
