The new Dissidia video looks amazing. Go watch it. I hope they have cooler levels, though, instead of those generic looking ones.

I just played the Force Unleased demo and I thought it was a bit of a let down!! the graphics seemed unimpressive and I got bored of bouncing Stormtroopers about after 5 minutes
this is meant to be game of the year ? am I the only one disappointed with this? |

Well, I didn't play that game, but all I need to know is that it is made by LucasArt in a post-Telltale timeline and is Star Wars related. So the probability of it sucking is pretty big, if not certain.

This is not what a demo of this game should have been. And I'm pretty excited for the storyline, as it connects Episode 3 and 4 in a competely new way.

I hope that they are not relying on the 'coolness' factor to get them through this ? I want a story and a little more inventive gameplay! I've already had the psycic powers tricks with another game called 'Second Sight' a while ago so this does not feel so groundbreaking to me.

I was just playing resident evil 4, one of my favorite games of all times, and could not believe how scary it was! I guess part of it is due to the fact that I haven't played it for so long but the ambiance is amazingly creepy. Anyway, I'm up to the castle which is so creepy with that cult and all and then it got me thinking about something with the language of the game. Before, I used to think that it must be a bit more creepy to people who don't speak Spanish because the banter just sounds even creepier when it's foreign and also because the villagers give you hints when they are behind you, literally saying "behind you, idiot!" in Spanish so this helped me a lot when I'm getting surrounded, specially during the first play through. But in this castle, I realized that what makes the chanting creepier is that I actually understand what the sick bastards are saying! They don't say many variations, but the tone they say it in and actually understanding it creeps me out. That castle is so creepy, though, it really makes me not want to play the game sometimes because the only way to play RE is in my basement, all lights off and volume very high, so that can get scary =).
Just wondering, how did people who didn't understand the zombies feel about that? Did it add to it or was it just banter anyway? EDIT: RE4 is just amazing and I think these graphics are still very, very good. I think I could live with these graphics forever if gameplay was still top-notch. |

I thought it was creepier not knowing what they were saying!!
that game is so bloody amazing! when you hear the chainsaw you start to panic and all you have is a handgun!! you keep shooting but he gets you! and takes your head off! one of the best games of all time and probaly the best game on PS2!! You hyped me all up!! I'm gonna play it again |

Ohh, you played it on the ps2. I have it for GC. I know the PS2 can pull out some nice graphics sometimes but I doubt it looks as good as the GC ver. Still, the screenshots didn't look worse, and the game play really is bloody amazing. Last night, I stopped playing when I got to the save spot before the "prisoner" in the castle but I went in to fight him before I quit. Scared me silly when I went up to him and he just broke off his chains.
