hmmm. Cardigans. That's interesting. I'm a Cardigans fan but I've never really quite made a link between them and SR. It'll be fun to hear SR sing Lovefool actually! haha. I can't quite imagine any other song where SR or the band will sound good in... just because Nina's voice and her phrasing is such an important part of a lot of my favourite Cardigans songs (like Heartbreaker). What song do you reckon is good for SS era SR, out of all the Cardigans songs?

I love "Carnival"... so much that I don't want anyone else to do a cover of it. I always sing the harmony part when I play the song!
I can imagine SR singing "Carnival" though... but it would feel totally wrong. Frankly speaking, I don't quite like any of the Cardigans stuff after First band on the moon. Maybe "I need some fine wine and you need to be nicer", I think SR can do that song.

Just to throw out a couple more songs... I'd like to see Ringo cover Blondie's One Way or Another or Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon.

Blue Angel - Squirrel Nut Zippers
Or any other SNZ song sung by Katherine. 'Put a lid on it' would make a great cover for a concert. |
