The key is to find an auction where somebody is selling 4-5 magazines together. Even if you already have one of the magazines, you still save lots of money. Speaking from actual experience: if a woman already wants me, the 40+ Shiina Ringo magazines aren't necessarily going to change her mind.

Glath, I visited Shopping Mall Japan, it seems they mainly deal with Yahoo Auctions Japan.
Is there a deputy service that deals with Amazon third party sellers? Sometimes an album is out of print and all the sellers do not ship aboard. |

Check out SMJ's "Manual Shop".

^Thanks! And more questions for Glath, the specialist on this, I'm such a noob!
My first experience with Yahoo Japan Auctions + Shopping Mall Japan: 1) It's kind of a pain when the auction ends in the morning in North America, and I'm usually at work! 2) I bid on 4 magazines bundle (minimum 400 yen), I was so afraid some otaku fanboy would outbid me, so I placed my bid at 1100 yen, and Shopping Mall Japan won it for me at 400 yen, no competition! Did I do it right? 3) You said in an old post that you would place your bid at "medium high" to ensure you get the item, can you please give me an example of your "medium high"? 4) When I used Manual Shop Order form for an Amazon Japan item, I entered the price of the used copy, then I got an error message telling me to bid at high price Amazon listed for the brand new item? Should I enter the high price, and tell SMJ in "options" section to get the used copy? |

2.) I wouldn't have done anything differently, unless it were the 4 magazines I wanted most. You'll find plenty of similar deals, which will eventually desensitize you to the outcomes of whichever magazine auctions you bid on next.
3.) "Medium High" is around 75% what you believe the auction is worth. The tricky part is deciding what 100% should look like. If you cap yourself at 75%, then you still have breathing room for all the added expense incurred by tapping the Japanese aftermarket from North America. 4.) Can't help you there. My only non-Y!JA experiences with SMJ have been in Special Orders from Kronekodow.

The Ringohan sale was mentioned in the Ringo Book thread, since it went on sale then; while I was buying that I checked out the other clearance items to see if there was anything I wanted. Dai-hakken peacock figurines!!! Yes please. A gold paperweight one for 300 yen and a larger silver one that can stand up for 1500y. Got em and they are awesome. I always really liked the Dai-hakken cover and the album in general (also peacocks - I love peacocks) so I am very pleased.

My girlfriend teases me about it and thinks it's actually kind of endearing. She even jokes all the time that Ringo is fair game and doesn't even see her as competition. That's how I know she's a keeper

Ok secured my friend all Ringo Jihen LPs EXCEPT Where is the Love? It barely shows up. Anyone got either a spare or any idea where to look other than YA and Amazon marketplace?
(By all I don't count Sweetz for my Spitz). No way I'm letting my mate getting it before I do ;-p

I've got more complete sets of the SR/TJ vinyls from EMI in mint condition, than Where Is The Love's in any condition, and every copy I've ever seen was already opened (could be like Towa Tei's Lucky - I wish I had more information). It's a reasonably cheap LP when you do find it, though. *edit* You keep mentioning Sweets for my SPITZ, so I looked at the only copy of it that I have, and it says "Not For Sale" on the back. I don't think I got conned into buying a sample copy or anything, but what I now want to know is - if this product never had a price, then how did the first people ever get their hands on it?

I was wondering if someone could give me info about the sheet music books for Shouso Strip and Muzai Moratorium. I'm thinking of purchasing them, but as a bass player I'm only interested in knowing if they have the bass tablature inside. Does anyone know if they do?
The links to each just in case people don't know what I'm referring to: http://japan-discoveries.com/index.p...oducts_id=2899 http://www.japan-discoveries.com/ind...roducts_id=435 I'm also interested in knowing where I can find any Ringo vinyl these days. I saw the vinyl for Muzai Moratorium selling on Amazon for exorbitant prices. Something like $500 with the highest at over $1000. Crazy. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new |
