Ever since seeing Beavis and Butthead talk over this, I have been meaning to hunt out the album, turns out it's pretty solid. Love the drums on this track. And a really hilarious video too, made even more hilarious if you see the B&B version...

This is a delicate version, which is beautiful but I still appreciate it more in the original, even keeping in mind that Ryuichi sings on it himself. Okay, that's from 95' but sounds modern even nowadays. Last edited by Carlx : 2012.01.02 at 08:53 AM. |

The Caretaker - An Empty Bliss Beyond This World
I'm enjoying this, especially tonight. (I haven't gotten all the way through it before, but I think I'm in the right mood for it this evening.) I noticed this on a local music critic's EOY list, but then I went back and of course other people had been talking about it.
http://soundcloud.com/alteredzones/s...an-empty-bliss This first cut especially reminds me somehow of Gavin Bryars's "Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me," though it's peppier, and I'm sure there are other things in the world of minimalist manipulation of audio sources that would be closer. |

Anybody doing parkour or is interested in parkour? I am really interested in parkour. More fun than just boring old running. |

I want to know what TurtleFu thinks of this song or Smashing Pumpkins in general (Gish, Siamese Dream, MCIS). And where is mizer_unmei at? Isn't it time for her to pack in for the winter and return to the forums?

^ I just listened to my Siamese Dream vinyl today (not the reissue, the 2lp peach one. Secks)
here's my fav track off the record. Well, fav track excluding Hummer and Rocket because I don't have the time to actually decide between them. Hearing this song immediately through me back to high school, 9th grade.
