Yeah, that's pretty much right. Junpei's music is aight, but nothing really memorable. Quality doesn't matter though. He got her into music and that's all that really matters.

I cannot stop listening to Yokyou! It's like I have diabetes now and that damn song is my insulin, I swear. I haven't listened to one of her songs on repeat so much in a looooong time. I need the full version. NOW.
This and Omatsuri Sawagi are practically making me ready to fork over the $52 for the DVD. But since I'm on such a budget I can't afford it.

I like how she looks so triumphant at the end of the Yokyou preview clip.
The song kind of reminds me of HF Gamble. |

I'm guessing that when you say that she looks distant, you're talking about her other performances. She doesn't look especially distant in the above youtube performances.
I think that EXPO Blackout walks all over the ADULT version. Yokyou is a terrific song, the best she's done in ages -- I didn't expect it to get any better than the preview version, but the way she belts it out at the end is just awesome! Shuukyou was a bit ho-hum, but that was to be expected and doesn't really count. Suberidai is a bit of a surprise, because to me, it's a classic SR song and I didn't expect her to do it justice. But here, she performed it as well as she ever could live. Judging by Gips + Koko + Omatsuri + Yokyou + Blackout + Suberidai, this is better than Electric Mole. These renditions are definitely fresh. The performances after the ones above have to be really average/bad for me to change my opinion. I come in here and there's a debate on packaging. The concert's way more interesting than that, guys! However, I think she looks a tad weird in Suberidai. |
