There's probably going to be a new album by The Strokes sometime this year.

The Stokes - Heart in a Cage

Ego Wrappin' and the Gossip of Jaxx

I'm so excited for this album but I have no money...ehh, who needs to go to prom anyway.

Oldfish

I love this MV...it just gives me chills with the scarecrow coming to life but it's
a really beautiful music video.

Yea, surprisingly, I knew St. Vincent AND the Strokes were working on an album but Annie was supposed to be done last year. I was let down =/. (although she could have been done but just waited forever to announce it). I'm a little worried about the strokes, though. Heart in the Cage was alright, I think it had an awesome 5 or 6 songs and then lulls until Red Light. But hopefully it'll be better now that most of them have done their own solo projects.

Plus, you typed "Stokes".

Wow, a spelling error. My first ever, right duders?

Annie can take her sweet time. She's pretty much my last salvation. If she disappoints I might just give up on new music. I can't handle another drop off. She said the album was sonically inspired by Prince so it sounds awesome so far.

As for First Impressions... I hate the middle of the album. After Razorblade, the album sucks until it gets to Fear of Sleep. Ize of the World is the best song followed by Red Light. I want another album like the first two, but I doubt that's what they have in store for us.

ughh, it seems like the past year has been nothing but disappointing second albums.

Or third albums. Annie would hurt the most because she's the one I had the highest hopes for.

Annie won't disappoint, she looks up to all the right musical heroes. Plus she loves Arrested Development. The girl has taste.

I don't really like Prince so I didn't think that was so awesome, but I figured she'd flip it in such an interesting way that it would be worthwhile.

And yes, I had forgotten aboud Fear of Sleeping late, I really like that one, but I don't like Ize of the world. Or, I don't remember it enough. I rarely listened to all that. Do you like Albert or Fabrizio's solo stuff?

I love Albert's stuff. I hoped he would write more for The Strokes, but it seems the entire album was written by Jules and Nick.
