Kaigun Politician!
It's pretty much the only demo song I repeatedly listened to. |

Shiroi E to Guitar because it's such a classic example of her early music.
I agree with the people who love demo Gamble. It's really great! honestly, I like all unreleased songs from the demos except maybe Marvelous Day because to me it sounds like a very generic 90s jpop song they would give to one of those 3 year career life span idols.

That's why I love it. Because it's Shiina singing something so un-Shiina. It's like seeing another side of her. :3 |

I always liked: Juwaki no Naka (especially). If I only take one song away from the SR experience it's probably this one. It's so unexpected, beautiful and transfixing. I wish it could still get a release. Kono Ki Nan no Ki. I thought that was a traditional Japanese camping song, but actually it's by the Hitachi corporation, about a tree in a park they own in Hawaii. Oh well, she made it rock, and somehow it transforms into a really good "simple" tune. How are You? One of those heart-in-mouth kind of songs. Despite just being piano and voice, it's got that build-up that proper Ringo tunes have. The chord that sets up the "vanishing" part is perfect. There are other songs by other people that use the same chorus chords, but not many melodies that find the sweet spot over them as well as this does. Negative. The music-box verse is almost the definition of an SR melody to me. It almost sounds like she revisited the instrumentation of this song for Tamatebako. Shampoo. One of the many great things about this is the way she can't stop going da-di-dahhh at various points here. Why doesn't she do that any more? Last time I can think of was Omatsuri Sawagi and that was a fantastic samba tune as well. It does a very unusual sudden key change for the chorus that totally works. Also, the demo version of Sigma is a tune. I always thought it coincidentally sounded like the first bit of this, but on closer inspection, it doesn't. Though only being a demo, juwaki no naka is always in my top 5 ringo songs.. I'm also loving unconditional love, how are you and sigma. And 'before you walk out with you' is pretty intreuging |

I haven't heard all the demos...mainly because I can't find the others, but the demo of Public Sickbed is so good.
