Ohh, that's true, he was in Meisai right? Anyway, we don't know why the other two members were booted or left but I'd think the only reason Uki was not chosen first was because of the style of music they were doing. If Ringo always wants to do different things then I don't think they just made ADULT because Hirama was not there, because as Maou says, he should be able to play Uki's parts on there. I don't think he was a "second choice" in the sense that they would rather have Hirama.

I was going to vote Hirama because I like his music more, even if he isn't a precise guitar-playing machine.
But Hirama quit. Knowing that, I voted "I don't care." Uki played guitty on KSK and has a longer history working with Ringo, so I don't mind. I just don't want to be exposed to too much of his music unless its like Osca, Ramp, and Metro. If Ringo just lent 3 songs to Variety, a hackneyed song like Fukushuu would have been weeded out and the album would have been closer to awesomeness. He's already got 3 Ringo-related albums under his belt, its time to get acquainted with the man. |

He was already in in the Meisai PV so I think he really could be second choice

IF I'm not mistaken. Tokyo Jihen decided when Shiina did the Electric Mole Tour. And at that time, she said in the interview that he carefully selected the member of the tour band by their freeness during the tour agenda. so there is a big possibility that Hirama is free, and Uki is not at that time.
But, I personally will choose Hirama because of his flexibility. Anyway, our though doesn't count. It was Ringo who decide it. And our theory is all in a doubt until she come here and answer all our question..

And Izawa didn't really help himself on the album either. Uki was ok in Adult when he was only interpreting Ringo, but that's not the case now and he has to go if he decides to keep writing music for the band. |

Uki just has one bad song on the album. Admittedly, it's really bad, but it doesn't even feel like an honest Uki song to me. It seems like somebody decided the band should attempt that style for some odd reason and they turned to Uki. "OSCA" sounds the most like an Uki song, I think.
